Do you believe in love at first sight, or are you the kind of person who is waiting for mr / ms right before committing to a long term relationship. But how do you know you've found him or her? If you are struggling to find someone, there are things you can do.
Write down the things you are looking for in a partner.
Look at the list, how general are the qualities you've listed?
- Good sense of humour
- Must be good in bed
- Tall, dark and handsome or
- Short, dumpy and overweight
Now you've gotten that out of the way, it's time to write the real list
Which attributes must the person have?
- What movies do they like
- Where do they live
- Are they a home owner
- Do they like cats or dogs
- What level of education do they have
You can see what happens now. Because you are being specific rather than generic, you will have no trouble attracting the right person into your life.
BTW, do not put a "face" to the picture you are drawing.
Now I mentioned the word "attract" there's just one more thing that you need to do. You need to create the circumstances where you will meet that person you say you want to attract into your life.
So what do I mean by that?
Where do people hang out, and I don't mean pubs, clubs and bars? Think groups, associations and sports clubs just as a beginning. Sure you can do the speed dating and online dating thing if you want, but how are you really going to get to know someone if you don't see them on a regular basis.
Be friendly, be open - after all your tall, dark and handsome may just turn out to be blond, blue eyed and average height.
